Community Living and Support is an individualized or group service that enables the waiver member to live successfully in their home and be an active member of their community. Community Living and Support enables the member to learn new skills, practice and/or improve existing skills.
The intended outcome of the service is to increase or maintain the member’s life skills or provide the supervision needed to empower the member to live in the home of their family or natural supports or in their private primary residency, maximize self-sufficiency, increase self-determination and enhance the opportunity to have full membership in the community.

Our family is blessed to have BRC! Everyone is so caring and respectful of all their clients. I am a strong advocate for my son, Titus Jackson, who has autism. As active supporters, along with other families with loved ones with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, we strive to create the best lives for them. We understand the challenges and the rewards of the journey, as we live it every day.
My advocacy began with securing the best educational support for Titus, focusing on his Individualized Education Plan (IEP). He made history as the first I/DD student athlete to participate on his high school’s wrestling team. After years of striving to be his best, Titus achieved a major goal, earning his high school diploma.
After Titus finished high school, I focused on helping Titus become independent and fully integrated into the community. At the age of 23, Titus began receiving services through Bailey’s Respite Care, Inc. (agency provider) and Trillium Health Resources (MCO) with the Innovations Waiver. He now works for a local grocery store, walks to the barbershop, makes financial transactions, participates in conferences side-by-side with me, works out at the local gym, and enjoys networking with others. All small but significant steps toward autonomy and community engagement.
Titus has been a member of Bailey’s Respite Care, Inc. from the beginning. We are thoroughly appreciative of everything they do to support my son and others with I/DD.
