Where We Strive to Make Each Day an Opportunity to Succeed

Welcome to Bailey's Respite Care, Inc. LETTER FROM THE OWNER

Hello Everyone!

My name is April Bailey Butcher and I am the owner of Bailey's Respite Care, Inc. I would like to share with you some information about myself and how the company began. In 1996, I worked for a doctor as a registered nurse until the year of 2000. In 2000, I wanted a change of atmosphere and began working with a CAP I/DD service provider. I worked with this company as a RN/AP until 2010. This is when my love for the field and working with this population inspired me to open my own business.

In December of 2008 I opened a respite house, and then in 2010 I ventured out to become a provider agency and opened a group home in July, 2011. Bailey's started with only a few staff in 2008 and now employs 70 people and provides services to over 60 consumers. God has been good to me and my business and I enjoy giving back to the special needs population and families.

Sincerely,
April

Our Mission

The principal mission of Bailey's Respite Care, Inc. is to respond to the diverse needs of all individuals we serve by creating an accessible system of providing individualized care of the consumer which supports choices, promotes dignity, and independence.

Philosophy And Vision To Accomplish This Mission We Will:

  • Respect the dignity and worth of all individuals.
  • Provide quality services in a caring, non-judgmental manner.
  • Promote a positive working environment for all staff.
  • Maintain compliance with state and LME regulations.

We maintain the highest degree of excellence at our Respite Care Home. We accept ages 8 and up and serve primary diagnosis of I/DD. Our staff is and will always be up-to-date on current trainings relevant to Respite Care and all mandated trainings from the State. We utilize an Autistic Specialist at times for training on care and dealing with the idiosyncrasies of the Autistic person. Respite Care is a fun time while staff tends to the safety, health and ADLS of the consumer.

In our other services we provide; we utilize the consumers PCP and adhere to the goals that were developed for that individual and pair the consumer with an appropriate staff to follow through with their plan. We deal with CAP I/DD populations and all staff must be appropriately trained according to the state guidelines. Occasionally we may have a consumer that requires us to pursue additional training and if this happens we utilize resources to obtain that person for training. Our staff has a supervision plan in place that is completed by the QP.

Our staff is supervised by a qualified professional and the staff are recognized as a paraprofessional/DD and their mandated trainings are current and we prefer prior experience with the MR population but also provide on the job training by shadowing staff.

Bailey's provides committees to adhere to state standards for best practice.

They Are As Follows:
