Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, helping them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
– Assist individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
– Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation.
– Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure a safe environment
– Foster independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
– Maintain a clean and organized living space for individuals under your care
– Community Networking: going out in the community and interacting with non-disabled people
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to develop and implement care plans
Requirements:
– Previous experience in developmental disabilities direct support .
– Strong understanding of ADLs and personal care techniques
– Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
– Knowledge of basic medical procedures is preferred
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Reliable transportation to travel between client locations (if applicable)
– Must pass background checks and drug screening

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: up to 40 per week
